My name is Dr. Jennifer Kragten Ro, but all my patients seem to call me Dr. Jenn and I think it’s great! I would like to welcome you all to my website!
I wanted to be a chiropractor since I was 10-years-old. As a child, I had severe headaches. I attributed this to my rigorous gymnastics training schedule. Nothing helped me and I would miss school, lose sleep and experience pain that no child should experience.
Finally my parents took me to a chiropractor. This amazing experience sparked my interest and I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
I believe that everything in life is meant to be. Now I am a chiropractor, living my dreams. I get to help children in my office just as I was helped as a child.
When I gave birth to my daughter Ava in 2007 I was still an Intern in my 4th year of chiropractic college. My parents were worried. They wouldn’t say it, but I knew what they were thinking…”how are you going to start a practice with a brand new baby?”
I trusted my instincts. I had a beautiful, calm, peaceful home birth which was to change my life forever. I realized at that moment, that every woman should be able to experience birth as I did…as a beautiful experience.
2 years later I realized I had a gift. My gift was chiropractic. I was told the purpose of life is to find your gift and the meaning of life is to give your gift to others. I knew I was meant to give this gift to families…Dads, children, and especially pregnant mothers and babies. This is when I started my pediatric training with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
About a month after I was enrolled in the 2-year program, I found out I was pregnant again. As excited as I was, I was nervous. How was I going to finish the course with a brand-new baby and a 3-year-old?
I knew it was not going to be easy, but I had a loving husband who helps me so much and understanding classmates and colleagues who said “just bring the baby to class with you!”
A few months later I was holding another beautiful, perfect baby girl in my arms after an amazing 2 hour labour! I had my most perfect birth experience…again in the comfort of my own home.
I thought, there has to be something to this. There is something so innate, so empowering and so important about natural birth. Unfortunately, so many women miss out.
I now dedicate my practice to families of all kinds…pregnant mothers, future mothers-to-be, dads and dads-to-be, children and even newborn babies.
